Meet our Civil Litigation Attorney, Erik J. Krueger
The Right Attorney for Civil Litigation
Erik J. Krueger is a 2013 graduate of Liberty University School of Law in Lynchburg, Virginia. He graduated cum laude and served as the Notes and Comments Editor of the Liberty University Law Review. He is also a second-generation graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
During law school, Erik worked for Liberty Counsel, one of the premier public-interest litigation firms in the United States. There, he earned experience in First Amendment litigation and school law. He also externed for Judge Petty of the Virginia Court of Appeals and subsequently enjoyed an opportunity to intern for Justice Gableman of the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
After passing the Wisconsin Bar Examination, Erik began his career as a special prosecutor with the Waukesha County District Attorney’s Office. There, he tried traffic offenses and made charging decisions and bail and sentencing recommendations. Erik joined the Law Offices of Mark S. Knutson in 2014.
Erik focuses on civil litigation. Specific areas of experience include contract disputes; residential lease issues; municipal violations and restraining orders. He also handles the firm’s paternity cases. Finally, Erik specializes in farmland conservation and the tax incentives available to keep land in agricultural use.
In his spare time, Erik follows the Wisconsin Badgers and enjoys spending time with his wife, Jennifer (who is also an attorney) and their son, Ethan.
Erik is admitted to practice in all courts in the State of Wisconsin as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin.
